[Portland, Ore.] – The 46th Portland Marathon and 7th Portland Marathon Half will take place on Sunday October 8th.
Recent meetings with the City of Portland have resolved nearly all issues that were pending. And contrary to some press reports, event representatives have been working together with the Police, Fire & Rescue and other City and State agencies with ease.
The course assigned to us by the City will be a slightly different course this year. It includes nearly all the portions of our prior course, with a few good modifications. It will be a Boston certified course, as always. The Start and Finish area are in the same area of the park blocks. Modifications allow for an even flatter, faster course than previously.
Our Expo will be held at the annual location at the Portland Hilton Hotel starting at 11:00am on Friday October 6th. As our Official Hotel, The Hilton is 2 short City blocks from the Start and Finish area. Limited rooms are still available. Make your reservations while they last!
