North Easton –The Children’s Museum in Easton is holding our annual Fathers’ Day Road Race, thanks to Title Sponsor Bourne’s Auto Center and our mile marker sponsor, Yasso Game On! Foundation. The race is set for Sunday, June 17, 2018. Registration is now open. Pre-register as an Early Bird registration for only $25! Race fees increase on April 10th!
The road race offers three choices: USATF 5K and 10K runs, and a 5K non-competitive Fun Walk allowing participants to choose their pace and a distance that suits their ability, allowing beginner and experienced runners to participate in one event together.
The race course is one of the area’s most picturesque courses, running past mansions and H.H. Richardson historical buildings in North Easton. The race course was voted Best of 2014 South Shore Road Race Guide’s “Best Race Course.” The course winds through sites in historic North Easton and takes runners and walkers through the privately held, Langwater Estate. The race goes under the Gate Lodge, past the Gardener’s Cottage, both National Historic Landmarks, and over the Langwater Bridge and into the Governor Ames Estate. All the things that have made this annual fundraiser an exciting family event for all are back again this year including: T-Shirts available to ALL runners who register by June 8, 2018, pre-registered Child Care in the museum. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR CHILDCARE. There will be cash prizes, runner goody bags, food and music.
