4 Our Freedom 5K

Join us for the seventh running of our race on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 8 a.m. at the UVA Research Park. We're pleased to announce ParadeRest Virginia, a local non-profit organization expressing gratitude to our military, their families, and veterans will be administering the race. We encourage you to visit the ParadeRest Virginia website, www.paraderestva.org to learn more about this organization. We’ve made a name change to more accurately reflect the intent to provide support to all members of the military, veterans, and their families. ParadeRest Virginia will manage the race, the grant process, and the distribution of race proceeds to local organizations in our community that support members of our military and their families.

*Note: The race begins at 8:00 a.m. and due to road closures, all participants must arrive at the UVA Research Park no later than 7:30 a.m.

There are two entrances to the UVA Research Park - the main entrance at the intersection of US Rt. 29 and Lewis and Clark Drive, and the back entrance at the intersection of Dickerson Rd. and Quail Run.
MAIN ENTRANCE
This entrance will be closed from 7:30am - 9:30am, or until the conclusion of the Kids Fun Run. If you have children participating in the fun run, or you do not need to leave early, please use this entrance! Race day volunteers and expo participants should also use this entrance.
BACK ENTRANCE
This entrance will be closed from 7:30am until the last runner has left the course. If you need to leave earlier than 9:30am, please use this entrance!

 

RACE DAY PARKING
Runners and spectators should arrive at the park NO LATER than 7:30am, after which both entrances to the Park will be closed, and entry will not be permitted!
Early Packet Pick Up
Your packet will include your race bib with safety pins, your 4 Our Freedom 5K T-shirt, a course map, and promotional items from our sponsors. Your race bib should be secured to the front of your shirt using the provided safety pins. Race packets will also be available the morning of the race, but we highly recommend you pick them up in advance. You may pick-up packets for your team, but please be patient with our volunteers. Pulling together multiple packets may take a few extra minutes. WHERE
