The 4K for 4-H Run/Walk and Fun Run will support 4-H Camp Pioneer in Randolph County, WV. Randolph County has the proud distinction of being home to the first ever 4-H camp in the world, over 100 years ago. This race will help raise funds for renovations at the camp to ensure a positive camping experience for generations to come.
The race will begin near the pavilion at the ponds at 4-H Camp Pioneer and travel on paved road to Files Creek Road and return, then travel on a gravel trail around two ponds. Total change in elevation is approximately 50 ft.
The Fun Run will travel once around the graveled trail around the ponds (approximately 1/2 mile).
Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finisher in each of the following categories:
12-19 years of age
20-29 years of age
30-39 years of age
40-49 years of age
50+ years of age
Special awards also include the “Most 4-H Spirited” and “The Greenest Attire,” so come decked out in 4-H colors with great enthusiasm!
