----------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your interest in the Adirondack 136. This ride is presented by ADIRONDACK ULTRA CYCLING and is part of the ADIRONDACK ULTRA CHALLENGE,  and we will follow OUR RULES & REGULATIONS.

This ride begins and ends in Ticonderoga, NY and will complete one lap of the legendary ADIRONDACK 540 course. The starting location will be in the Wal-Mart/Mc Donald's/Super 8 plaza, in the western most parking lot, adjacent to NY 9N. Please note there is not a port-a-john in the parking lot, but riders should be able to use the rest room in one of the plaza restaurants.

Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the start time to check in, get ready and have your bike inspected, so that we may leave on time. Please note that the ride clock starts at the official start time, whether or not you are actually riding.

This ride is very challenging and has many short climbs (½-1 miles), several long climbs (2-6 miles), thrilling descents, and only a few flat sections. And since this is a loop course, wind will probably be a factor at some point. We'll pass through some of the nicest areas and towns of the Adirondacks, including Crown Point, Port Henry and Westport along Lake Champlain, and Elizabethtown, Keene, Jay, Wilmington, Lake Placid and Keene Valley in the High Peaks region, before rolling through North Hudson on the way back to Ticonderoga.

Please prepare for this ride carefully. There will be long stretches where services will be unavailable and cell/GPS reception limited. We will provide limited sag and van support, with water, drinks and pocket food, but we can't be everywhere at the same time, so riders should expect to be self-sufficient and have the ability to follow GPS directions and/or a cue sheet and use convenience stores to resupply along the route.

Please note there are 13 hours of daylight to complete this ride.  If you are still on the road after sunset, you will need to abide by our lighting requirements, which can be found in our OUR RULES & REGULATIONS.

If you need lodging before or after the ride, we recommend the Super 8 in this plaza. We've used it many times over the years and they are very accommodating. If they are full or if you'd rather stay somewhere else, Ticonderoga has several other options, as well.

For more information or if you have any questions, feel free to CONTACT US.
