Let’s get physical! We’re running (or walking) our way back to the vibrant and dynamic 1980s for AIDS Walk Orlando: Retro Run. Lace up your sneakers and roller skates, dust off your leg warmers, and let’s have some fun! Let’s stride together to raise awareness, funds, and support for HIV prevention and treatment, and honor those who are no longer here to fight the good fight with us.

This fun run supports Hope & Help, an organization that has been fighting the HIV epidemic in Orlando since 1988. Whether you’re a solo runner or part of a team, you’re a winner for fighting against HIV stigma, and, for that, you’ll get a medal that’s pretty rad.

Individual runners and teams can sign up to fundraise for the event. We will have awards for the Top 3 race finishers, as well as awards for the team and individual who raises the most money.

Get your team together, grab your hairspray, and let’s take it way back to the 80s! Thank you for supporting the fight against HIV!

RACE T-SHIRTS:
All participants who register for the 5K event will receive a unisex Fun Retro themed cotton t-shirt. Sizes are guaranteed through April 19, 2024.

FINISHER MEDALS: 
All PAID 5K Fun Run participants will receive a custom AIDS Run/Walk Orlando: Retro Run themed finisher medal. 

5K FUN RUN AWARDS:
Awards will go to the top 5 overall finishers in the 5K Fun Run/Walk. And, we will be awarding the top fundraising Team and Individual.  You can see you finishing time as you cross the finish line and view the clock.

WEATHER: 
Races will be held rain or shine, however, if there is severe weather in the area the race start may be delayed or cancelled. As a reminder, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

SAFETY RULES: 
In order to ensure safety of all runners, roller skates and in-line skates are prohibited from the race course. It is VERY important for you to stay alert throughout the race, stay inside cones and obey all race signage. Jogging strollers are permitted but must start in the back.

STROLLERS:
Strollers are allowed. Nurturing future generations of runners/walkers is a priority as is demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our children. We do ask those registrants participating with a stroller to line up after the runners & walkers at the start line. Please listen for directions on where to line up on the day of the race. Only paid registrants of the 5K Fun Run/Walk will receive a finisher medal. If you would like your child to receive a medal, please register for them to participate in the Run/Walk.

PACKET PICKUP INFORMATION: 
EARLY Packet Pick-Up will take place on Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at the Hope and Help office located at 4122 Metric Drive, Suite 800 Winter Park, Florida 32792.  The time is TBD.

Race Day Packet Pickup will take place at Harbor Park @ Baldwin Park 7:00am. However, please do allow additional time to pick up your packet on race day due to parking and potentially long lines.
