Andrew McMorris was an incredible, kind, and passionate individual with insurmountable potential for his future. His life was tragically taken at the age of 12 by a drunk driver this past October, while on a hiking outing with his Boy Scout Troop. In the wake of this immeasurable tragedy, the track and cross country teams of Miller Place, Riverhead, and Shoreham have set out to honor Andrew, who was a cross country runner himself, by raising money for the construction of a new Adirondack Cabin at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp to be named McMorris Lodge in honor of Andrew. This new 3,200 square foot cabin will serve scouts and the community for years to come. Please help us to provide healing to the McMorris family, Troop 161, and the communities affected by honoring Andrew with this run.
