Arbor Ridge Trail Race
Edition 2
Trail running

About the event
Over the rocks and through the woods to Janesville’s gem we go for the 2nd annual Arbor Ridge Trail Race (ARTR), sponsored by the neighboring and picturesque Arbor Ridge community. This race follows Wisconsin’s iconic Ice Age Trail through the secluded and serene Robert O. Cook Memorial Arboretum.
This event is an important fundraiser for the stewards of the Ice Age Trail with donations and a portion of race proceeds going to the Ice Age Trail Alliance.
Reap the returns of racing a 5k, 8k or 16k route through heavily-shaded forest, over roots and rocks, around a flowering meadow, and along a meandering stream. The mostly single-track ARTR offers some challenging climbs and equally rewarding downhills with an exhilarating and refreshing creek crossing (NEW 2019!)
We also have a free 1K fun run for the kids and a great post-race party planned with plenty of food, Rock County Brewing Company craft beers, and the Glacial Drifters band.
