Bainbridge Firehouse Fun Run & Walk

A 4 mile self-timed Fun Run & Walk to support the Bainbridge Fire Company and all the hard work they do! We want to get everyone in the community involved to be active and raise awareness for volunteer firefighting!  Everyone is invited! Parents, children, & strollers welcome! Prizes will be given for all types of people & groups!

This course will begin at East Donegal Township Riverfront Park, Marietta PA and end at the American Legion Park in Bainbridge, PA.  It will follow the beautiful new Susquehanna Northwest River Trail! Most of the trail is paved with a small section of it in stones.

Pre-registered runners & walkers will receive a free t-shirt and give-aways! (T-shirts are not guaranteed if you do not pre-register by May 2nd) FREE Food will be available after the race at the American Legion Park!!  Children 5 & younger are not required to register (will not receive a t-shirt without registration). Children ages 6-12 may regsiter for $10 ($15 on race-day). Adults 12 & up registration is $20 ($25 race-day).  Sign up with a team to save money! Compete for prizes for oldest runner/walker, first male and female to finish, most outrageous outfits and largest group! 

Runners & walkers can park and check-in at the Marietta Riverfront Park.  After the race, vans will be available to take runners back to their cars.  


What should I bring?
      You should bring comfortable walking or running clothes, sneakers, some money if you wish to purchase from our bake sale afterwards and a stop watch if you’d like to time yourself!

Are there restrooms along the trail?
      There will be portable toilets at the beginning & end of the trail, as well as at the White Cliffs (just over halfway through the course).

How can I promote my business?
      Contact [email protected] or Ashley Jensen at 215-584-1156 to set up a sponsorship arrangement. We would LOVE to have you support our fire company and help promote your company!

Can my child or I ride a bicycle?
       We prefer only children 5 & under to have a bicycle. We don’t want too much traffic on the path & the older kids can sure ride fast! Strollers & wagons are acceptable- but keep in mind the van ride back!

Is the course wheel-chair accessible?
      Transportation (vans) is not wheel-chair accessible, however the course is mostly paved and would be comfortable for wheel chairs. As of now, there is a small portion of the course that is gravel.

What time will the event end?
      We can’t guarantee what time the event will end, as it depends if you’re walking, jogging, or running! The course is 4 miles.  It may take runners around a half hour, joggers around 45 minutes and walkers possibly an hour and a half. It could also depend if you plan to stop on the trail around Shocks Mill bridge or the White Cliff’s at the old Billmeyer quarry operations!

I can’t walk or run but I want to help!
    Thats a shame! But we have plenty for you to do! Volunteers are needed for all types of jobs, like registering participants on the day of the race, handing out water at water stations, keeping an eye on portions of the trail or even taking pictures! I’m unavailable that day, how can I donate?
    We’ll sure miss you! But along the top you can hit the "Donate" tab to help contribute to the fire company! We would surely apprecaite it!
