Blackwatch Braveheart Challenge

The BlackWatch Braveheart Challenge is a 6+ mile trail race through Oak Mountain State Park with over 20 obstacles. This event will challenge your speed, strength, and stamina. Race by yourself or with a team!

Racers can choose either Competitive (timed) or Open (untimed) when registering. Participants must be 14 or older on October 28th. Racers ages 14-15 must race with an adult. We recommend that all athletes registering for the Competitive heats be able to run a 5k in 30 minutes or less. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female Competitive racers who successfully complete all obstacles.  Immediately following the race, there will be food trucks, snacks, drinks, Birmingham-area vendors, and more!

The Kids Braveheart Challenge will be a 1-mile fun run with obstacles for children ages 13 and under. This race will begin at 10:00 am. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 racers.

We invite all racers and friends to join us for our Pre-Race Halloween Party on Friday, October 27th starting at 7:00 pm at BlackWatch Sports Performance. There will be food trucks, beer, and music! All racers will receive a voucher for one free drink!

Registration is $70 for adult racers (14 & up) and $40 for kids until June 1st. After this date, rates will go up, so don't wait! All racers will receive a t-shirt at check-in and a medal upon completion of the race.
