Chasing Excellence

The LATSA Chasing Excellence 5K is held in remembrance of Tina Bonci. During her 29-year career at The University of Texas at Austin, Tina Bonci served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women, the Co-Director of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, and Associate Athletics Director. She is remembered as an icon within the field of athletic training. We have established this 5k to honor her memory, and plan to use the profits from the race for the purpose of funding the Tina Bonci Excellence in Athletic Training Scholarship.

Race Information:

Packet pick up and check in will begin, on April 8th before the race at 7:30 AM and will last till 8:45 AM as the race will promptly start at 9:00 AM. Location of packet pick up will be located at Gilleland Creek Pavilion, which is located next to parking.    

Registration fee will increase after April 1st to $35
