City of Dublin Shamrock Run

Age Groups

Separate divisions for Boys and Girls: 5-8, 9-12,13-15, 16-19; Men and Women: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Awards/Prizes

The first three finishers in each division will be presented with a medallion. The top three overall finishers for both men and women will be awarded a trophy. All youth participants who finish the course will receive a ribbon. In recognition of the City’s 35th anniversary, the first 35 registered runners to cross the finish line will receive a commemorative anniversary medal. A prize drawing will follow the race, and winners must be present to receive their prize.

Early Bib/T-Shirt Pick-Up

Avoid the lines before the race and pick up your race bib and T-shirt early. T-shirt and race bib pickup will be available Saturday, March 11 form 9AM - 2 PM and Thursday, March 16 from 4 - 8 PM at The Fit Potato, 6894 Village Parkway. Race bibs will not be mailed. T-shirts are available for pre-registered participants only. Race bibs and T-shirts will also be available for pickup before the race in the pre-race area from 7:15 - 8AM.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why can’t I bring my dog? I have brought my dog in previous years.
A: The Fun Run is a part of the St. Patrick’s Day Festival. Alameda County Health Department
rules stipulate that dogs and other pets are not allowed at the festival because of food safety.

Q: Can I run with my child in a stroller?
A: Yes, but we ask that you start toward the back of the pack of runners. The child in the
stroller is also ineligible to win an age group award.

Q: Do I have to pay for my child to participate in the race?
A: Children five years of age and older will need to pay to participate in the race. However,
payment is required for children under the age of five only if they want to receive a race bib, tshirt,
and participant ribbon.

Q: How do I register if I do not want to pay online?
A: You can mail in the completed registration form with payment to the address provided on
the form; register in person at Shannon Community Center (11600 Shannon Avenue); or
register at bib pick-up, Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 16,
4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Fit Potato located at 6894 Village Parkway.

Q: Where do I pick-up my t-shirt and race bib?
A: Your race bib and t-shirt can be picked up Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
and Thursday, March 16, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Fit Potato located at 6894 Village Parkway.
Race bibs and t-shirts will also be available at the pre-race area on March 19, from 7:15 – 8:15
a.m. T-shirts can also be picked up after the race at the post-race area near the festival’s main
stage.

Q: Are Family Registrations timed?
A: All registration categories are timed except for the Individual Not Timed Registration.

Q: How do I register a Corporate, Non-Profit or Running club online?
A: You must have a minimum of five registrants for this option. You will need a coupon code in
order to select this option and receive the discount. Please email the race director.

Q: I am registering a Corporate, Non-Profit or Running club online and the price is showing $27
per person, which is incorrect.
A: You must have the coupon code from the race director in order to receive the discount.
Once that is applied, the fee will change.

Results

Results for chip-timed participants will be posted on-site in the post-race area, and at www.thefitpotato.com. Results will also be posted on the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration website at www.dublinstpats.com
