About the event
Experience the thrill of running through the vibrant capital of Syria with the Damascus Marathon! Participants of all ages and abilities are catered for, with a selection of race categories to choose from. From the full marathon, spanning a distance of 42.195 kilometers, to half-marathons and the 10-kilometer dash, there is something for everyone. The Damascus Marathon provides the opportunity to explore the city's iconic landmarks and ancient streets while getting a true sense of the local culture. From the Umayyad Mosque to the Azem Palace and the Souq Al-Hamidiyya, runners will enjoy a unique and memorable experience.

The start & finish of Marathon, Halfmarathon and 10km run will be on the Fayez Mansour Road, opposite the Umayyin Square in the shadow of the iconic Damascene Sword Monument. All races will start at the same time. Marathon – 7.00 am Halfmarathon – 7.00 am 10km Run – 7.00 am
