About the event
The Dog Days 5k and 2 Mile Walk is an event benefitting Hub City Service Dogs, a nonprofit organization in Hattiesburg, Miss., that trains service dogs for individuals with medical disabilities. This year, the race will be part of Festival South, a multi-week event series in South Mississippi that offers free and ticketed art events to local residents and tourists.
At the 5K, there will be door prizes, breakfast, a Run-by Dog pageant (dogs to be identified during the run/walk by participants bib numbers), and awards for runners/walkers with and without dogs. Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and on a fixed leash. Registration includes a race shirt. The event will be timed by Diva Timing.
*Same-day registration will be $30.00 and begins at 6:00 a.m.

Dog Days 5k and 2 Mile Walk is an early morning run/walk to beat the heat - with or without dogs - benefitting the Hub City Service Dogs program. There will be lots of door prizes, breakfast, a Run-by Dog pageant (dogs to be identified during the run/walk by participants bib numbers), tech shirts, 5 year age categories and awards for runners/walkers with dogs AND without dogs. The dogs get something special too!!
