REGISTER BY SUNDAY NOVEMBER 3rd TO RECEIVE A BRANDED TECHNICAL RACE
SHIRT ($5 FOR KIDS AND $5 FOR ADULTS).
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT ON THURSDAY THE 14TH.

Join Durham Academy families and friends in our Durham community
for a great afternoon of exercise and family-friendly fun at our tenth annual
Turkey Trot 5k and Fun Run. Run, walk, skip – or just come have fun! Following
the 5k, registered Fun Run participants will have the opportunity to chase the Turkey
around the track to see if they can catch him. Maybe this year will be the year!
Encourage your friends to join us for the fun. In addition to the 5k and Fun Run there will be
games, music, a photo booth, craft activities, bounce houses and food trucks. Bring cash
or credit card for a delicious snack!
The classroom or advisory in each division with the most racers will win a pizza party for
their class. Be sure to enter your Teacher/Advisor and Grade during registration.
Same day registration will be available before the race from 1:00pm – 1:30pm at the
Lower School entrance. Same day registration will be an additional $5 per entrant for the 5k. The
Fun Run is free! Race fees can be paid via credit card at the registration table. Participants
arriving after 1:30 can still run the race, but will not be able to get an official time chip. All
other activities will take place at the Upper School track.
✓ Register by Sunday, November 3rd to receive a race shirt for kids and adults.
✓ Online pre-registration closes Thursday, November 14th .
✓ Race packet pick up will be Friday, November 15th from 7:45 am – 3:30 pm in the lobby
of Brumley auditorium on the Lower School campus.
✓ Same day registration is Sunday, November 17th from 1:00-1:30 pm ($35 for the 5k,
please bring a credit card for payment).
Race Day Schedule
1:00pm — Same day registration (registration closes for the 5k at 1:30) at Lower School entrance.
Music, crafts, bounce houses, photo booth, games, and food trucks at the Upper School track.
2:00 pm — 5k start
3:00 pm — Fun Run start
The Turkey Trot is sponsored by Durham Academy’s Parents Council. 100% of the proceeds raised
from the race go toward enabling the school’s mission through community building events as well as
enhancing school programs and campus facilities.
