Fletcher Wave of Success 5km Run
The Fletcher Middle School PTSA will be putting on the Fourth Annual Fletcher Middle School 5km Wave Of Success Run on February 18, 2017. This event is a great way to spend the day promoting a healthy life style and supporting the Beaches finest middle school. All proceeds from this event will go to support the Fletcher Middle School PTSA. Walkers and runners of all ages are encouraged to participate in this great event! All pre-registered participants PRIOR TO February 1st, 2017 are guaranteed to receive a T-Shirt. Participants registering on February 1, 2017 or later will receive a shirt as supplies last.
Entry fees are based on how early you sign up. The earlier you register the more money you will save.
Registrations 1 through 50 – Online $15.00 each including all processing fees
Registrations 51 through 100 – Online $20.00 each including all processing fees
Registrations 101 through 200 – Online $22.00 each including all processing fees
Registrations 201 through 250 – Online $24.00 each including all processing fess
Registrations 251 through 300 – Online $24.00 each including all processing fees.
Registrations 301 through 400 - Online $26.00 each including all processing fees.
Registrations 401 through 2/16/16 at 3:00pm – Online $30.00 including all processing fees.

Day of race registrations – $35.00 all registrations – REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE RACE LOCATION ON RACE DAY. Note – Shirts are only guaranteed to those registering prior to February 1, 2017. Shirts will be provided to day of race registrants as supplies permit.

Day of Race Registration - 6:45 am to 7:30 am at the Seawalk Pavilion
Day of Race Packet Pickup - 6:45 am to 7:45 am at the Seawalk Pavilion
Race Start - 8:00am on Jacksonville Beach by the Seawalk Pavilion
Awards Ceremony - 9:00am at the Seawalk Pavilion

Race Awards will presented to top finishers as follows:
Top 3 Overall Men / Women
Top 1 Masters Men / Women
Awards will also be awarded five places deep in the following categories for both men and women: 0-10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 Plus
There will be a pre-race packet pickup on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at European Street at 992 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. In addition, runners may pick up their chips, bibs, and race packets at the Seawalk Pavilion on race day during the times listed in the event schedule.
The 5k will run south to 10th Avenue South then back north to Beach Boulevard. At Beach Boulevard the 5k runners will continue north to 11th Avenue North then return south back to Beach Boulevard then continue north on the Boardwalk to the finish line at the Seawalk Pavilion Lawn.
The course is USTAF Certified which means this race can be used for a qualifying time for the Gate River Run. USTAF Course #FL16015EBM

The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race. Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line. Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.
Participants registering prior to Feburary 1, 2017 will be guaranteed a shirt in their desired size. Those registering on February 1 or later will receive a shirt in available sizes as supplies last.
All registered runners and walkers will receive a goodie bag, race bib, and entry into a post race raffle open to all participants. The race will be professionally timed and bib timing chips provided to all participants at the race.
There will be a post race raffle,open to all registered participants following the race at the awards ceremony. Prizes may include gift certificates to various local businesses and Fletcher Middle School spirit wear.
All day of race activities are at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach.
Parking is available on City parking lots on street parking spaces. Please do NOT park in the lots or driveways of private businesses or residences.

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
If you are a member or friend or supporter of a club or team at Fletcher Middle School, please be sure to indicate the group you would like to support during registration and the PTSA will contribute $5 of your registration fee to that group or organization.
