About the event
The Freedom 5K is a preview of the VUM Half & Full Marathon courses running through downtown Vancouver, the Historic Fort Vancouver site, over the land bridge, and along the Columbia River. This is the race that kicks off the VUM weekend! With a fun atmosphere and great sponsors, the Freedom 5k is a fabulous excuse to bring your friends and family together to check out downtown Vancouver. Get in a morning 3 mile run, check out the VUM Active Expo, stroll through the Saturday Market, then stop off for some pints and tasty food at the Summer Brewfest in the heart of it all, Esther Short Park!
