About the event
The Freeport Flash 5k/10k Run/Walk is held on a certified 5k/10k course on the scenic Butler/Freeport Rails to Trails. The course is flat and fast making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned runners looking for a new PR.
The Freeport Flash is the primary fund raising event for the Freeport Area High School Cross Country Team. The event is family friendly and all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
There are awards for 1st through 3rd male and female finishers in each age category and NEW THIS YEAR is a 4 person team category!
The Freeport Flash is the first jewel in the Freeport Triple Crown Race series. Run all three events (Freeport Flash, International Baseball Invitational, Girls Basketball 5k) and earn a limited edition Triple Crown T-shirt!
