Grand Valley State University Laker Homecoming 2016

The Laker Homecoming 5K run/walk course is a flat, fast course that will show off the beauty of the Grand Valley Campus in the fall season. The course starts just outside of the Kelly Family Sports Center and heads out toward Laker Village before turning back north and entering the main part of campus. Runners will wind around the freshman dorms before heading to Kelly Family Sports Center.

Race proceeds benefit the GVSU Cross Country and Track & Field programs.

Awards

-Top three overall finishers (male and female)

-Top three overall male and female masters

-Top three male and female finishers in each of the age divisions (7under, 8-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+)

-All Kids Fun Run participants receive ribbons

Live / Late Registration

Live/Late registration will take place beginning October 11. Day of registration on Saturday Oct. 15, 2016 from 8-930 AM. Race is at 10 AM.

Packet Pick Up

Thursday, October 13 at Gazelle Sports Grand Rapids 4:00pm-7:00pm 3930 28th Street SE. Grand Rapids, MI
Day of Registration/Packet Pick-Up Saturday, October 15 at Kelly Family Sports Center 8:30am-9:30am. Registration will close at 9:30am.

Schedule and Event Details

The GVSU Laker Homecoming 5K race begins at the Kelly Family Sports Center located just behind the Fieldhouse Arena on the Allendale Campus. There will also be a post-race raffle for a chance to win even more prizes (must be present to win). This event is for all ages so bring the family for kids’ activities, inflatables, and a Kids Fun Run taking place inside the Kelly Family Sports Center from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 11:00 a.m. We will also have volunteers on hand to watch your children while you run! All-you-can-eat breakfast is included in your race registration. Participants and spectators park in Lot G. Shower facilities will be available.
