Haunted Hollows 5K

The Haunted Hollows Fun Run is unlike any spooky race out there! Start honing your survival skills, and run for your life as you encounter what is lurking throughout the scare zones along the course! Those who are lucky enough to make it out ALIVE will be welcomed back with a costume PARTY (including a costume contest), local DJ, swag giveaways, and tasty goodies in our undead zone.

Don't fret - if scary isn't your thing we have two race waves, the family friendly wave and the haunted wave. The family friendly wave begins before dark with trick or treating along a decorated and themed course (minus the monsters). The haunted wave will begin at the bewitching hour of dusk - when creatures start stalking their prey. The race will not be timed, so don't worry about being the fastest…you only need to be faster than the person behind you to stay alive. 

Be afraid. Be very afraid...but running scared is more fun with friends, so grab a group of your wildest, craziest, goofiest, most adventurous friends and RUN for your life! The Haunted Hollows Fun Run is a fun run/walk focused on having some Halloween fun with friends and family, not who finishes first. It’s the perfect fun run for runners and ruckers of all different abilities, sizes, ages, shapes, personalities, and IQ levels.

Some haunted zones will have flashing lights. If you are sensitive to or have a medical condition where you will be impacted by flashing lights, we urge you to sign up for the family friendly race wave.

Rucking Division

In addition to a running division, we offer a rucking division. Rucking is walking with a weighted backpack/ruck on your back. There is no minimum required weight to carry.

Course

The course runs along the Jordan River Parkway Trail and is all paved. 

4.34 Mile Route with a water station at the halfway point. There are bathrooms at the start and finish line.

Dogs

Leashed dogs are OK for the family friendly wave but they must stay on a leash the entire time. PLEASE for the safety of our scare actors and other participants, NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED in the haunted wave. If you bring your dog,  you will not be allowed to run the race with them during the haunted wave.

Scare Zones

If you are interested in designing and setting up a scare zone on the course, please fill out this interest form and we will send you more information when it's ready! This will be a competition with prize money!

Volunteers

We can't put on our races without the help of our amazing volunteers! Please consider signing up to volunteer your time on race morning with the race setup, during the race and post race teardown. All volunteers will receive a free entry to a future event. Volunteer registration will open soon.

Virtual

Can't join us in person this year? Don't worry, you can participate from wherever you are located! Open to anyone located in the United States (including APO) and Canada (additional $10 for shipping). Located outside of the U.S. and still want to participate? Please email us at [email protected]. Virtual swag will start shipping in late September 2024.
