At the height of World War II Irene Morgan served her country in two ways: building B-26 Marauders to fight tyranny abroad, and refusing to give up her seat on an interstate bus, fighting segregation at home. The resulting case was elevated to the Supreme Court, where a landmark ruling in her favor put another nail in the coffin of Jim Crow.
