"Jogging for John" 5K & Kids' 1-Mile Fun Run in Loving Memory of John J. Dooros

On Saturday, May 19th, the Ocean Medical Center Association is holding the 4th "Jogging for John" 5K Walk/Run and Kids' One-Mile Fun Run in loving memory of John J. Dooros. The event will take place at the Brick Township Reservoir. John was a beloved family man, friend, Vietnam veteran, Brick Township educator for over 37 years, and a lifetime resident at the Jersey Shore. In 2011, he lost his long and courageous battle with lung cancer. All proceeds will be going towards the Mother Hen Fund at Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center. This fund was established by John’s radiation oncologist, Dr. Nathan Kaufman.The Mother Hen Fund helps cancer patients with various needs during treatment, such as transportation to and from therapy, so they can focus more on healing, and less on financial challenges. If you cannot make the race or are not able to participate in the walk/ run, donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. We look forward to seeing you at the race on May 19th! 👍🇺🇸

***The race is at the Brick Reservoir. However, due to limited parking please park at the Trinity Church. The registration tables will be located in the church parking lot. Below is the Trinity Church address***

Day of the Race- $30 CASH ONLY 

Pre-registration for the Kids' 1-Mile Fun-Run (Up to Age 10): $10 + online processing fee

Day of the Race Kids' 1-Mile Fun Run- $15 CASH ONLY

Time: May 19th (RAIN OR SHINE)

Registration will begin at 7:30 AM, 5K starts at 9 AM and Kids' Fun Run starts at 9:30 AM.
