A Historical Run to Commemorate Jonas Cattell’s Warning Fort Mercer of Attack.
The following adjustments have been made due to COVID restrictions:
Transportation: There will be NO bus transportation this year. There will also be NO bag drop at the starting line this year.
Awards: Presented to male and female winners in all divisions. Additional awards will be presented for achievement in special categories.
Entry Fee: Before October 16th- $20.00, after October 16th- $30.00. Please make checks payable to: Gloucester County Parks and Recreation.

Courses: The 10-mile run is a point-to-point course from Haddonfield to National Park as run by Jonas Cattell on Oct. 22, 1777. The 5K course will be an out-and-back course, starting and finishing at the Red Bank Battlefield.
Registration: Only pre-registration this year. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Upon receipt of your early entry form, before Oct. 16th, first 150 registrants will be guaranteed a race t-shirt.
Packet Pick-up: Friday, October 23rd at James G. Atkinson Park Office from 7:30am – 7:00pm. Saturday, October 24th at Jame G. Atkinson Park Office from 9:00am – 12:00pm. Tables will be set up outside the parks office. Participants and staff need to wear masks while distributing and receiving shirts and bibs. Race day packet pick-up will begin at 7am at race start location.
Participants must be able to complete a 15 minute per mile pace for the 10-mile race.
Hand sanitizer stations will be set up outside the port-o-pots.Everyone (staff, participants and spectators) at the starting line in Haddonfield and Red Bank Battlefield are required to wear masks. Once the runners have removed themselves from the pack (or 6 feet apart) the masks may be removed.Water stations: Cups of water will be pre-filled and spread out on the tables so the runners can grab one. Volunteers will not be handing the cups to the runners. Volunteers will social distance and wear gloves and masks.Runners tent: Pre-bagged snacks for runners. Bag would contain a water/Gatorade and fruit.Award Ceremony: Roped off area for the award ceremony. Anyone in the roped off area must be wearing a mask. Staff and participants will wear masks while distributing medals.
