K9 Heores - Pooch Pursuit 5K Run - 2K Walk

In honor of K9 Veterans Day, Hanover County Parks and Recreation invites attendees to visit canine friendly vendors and watch K9 demonstrations in the areas of command, protection and tracking.  There are also canine friendly activities, a pet caricature artist, the DogLoverDays Lure Course and contests like the Dog-Gone Egg Hunt, Frosty Paws eating contest, puppy dash and tricks for treats. 

Runners can register for the Pooch Pursuit 5K where awards are presented to the top finishers in both overall male and female, team - runner & canine and age groups.  Walkers are encouraged to sign up for the Pooch Pursuit 2K.  Canine participation for the 5K and 2K are optional but welcome! 

Pooch Pursuit Notes: All dogs must wear ID tags, be on a non-flex leash, socialized, current on rabies vaccinations, at least 6 months of age and not be in heat.  Dogs must be a minimum of 1 years of age for the 5K Run. One dog per person for the run.
