We are excited to be back for the 4th annual Kandace Helms 5K event. Our first three races were great successes and for that we thank you.
Due to the current Covid-19 virus and social distancing orders, the Kandace Helms 5K will be a virtual event this year. The good news is this means you can complete the 5K at the time, pace and location of your choice anytime between Saturday October 10, 2020 and Saturday October 24, 2020.
At completion of your virtual event you can submit your time (Fitbit, RunKeeper, Strava, etc) to be added to the official participant results.
Virtual events make it possible to band together for a common goal even when we can’t physically run together, make it possible for friends and family in other locations worldwide to participate in events together, and makes participation via treadmill an option.
The Kandace Helms 5K is open to EVERYONE, from competitive runners to walkers including seniors and children. It is always an amazing event full of love and encouragement.
Event Shirts and participation medals are guaranteed with your registration through October 1, 2020.
Local packet pickup will take place on Saturday October 10, 2020 in the parking lot of First Federal
Savings Bank (Boger City Office)
Awards for overall TOP 3 (submitted times must be verified by race directors)

About Kandace Helms:
Kandace Helms was a loving stay at home mom to Peyton and Mason. Her life was taken instantly in a head on collision while driving her son Peyton to school on March 8, 2016.
Kandace always had a kind word that was complemented by her beautiful smile. This walk is in her memory and where people that love her can come together in her memory and give back to others, like she always found time to do.
Kandace loved watching her son and his friends play baseball at Boger City Optimist. Kandace was a board member at The Boger City Optimist Club; she had big dreams for the future of the ball field. Kandace enjoyed the fellowship the parents share at Boger City is special; we are one big family, surrounding our children with a safe and happy environment to play baseball.
This run/walk is in her memory and helps fund The Kandace Helms Foundation which is a Non-profit 501© 3 that funds a scholarship program for Lincoln County graduates and other youth organizations.
