Lampson Cable Bridge Run

A fun and exciting holiday tradition! The Lampson Cable Bridge Run has been an annual tradition in the Tri-CIties for 38 years. Runners, no matter the distance they choose (1Mile, 5K, or 10K) will start their race crossing over the Columbia River from Kennewick to Pasco, WA on the scenic Cable Bridge and all racers will end at the Lampson warehouse and warm up with Hot Doctor Pepper and enjoy the camaraderie of other participants.

Timing chips are used and awards are given to the top participants in each age category. So if you are a competitive runner or someone who just wants to have fun walking with your friends, the Lampson Cable Bridge Run has what you are looking for.

NOTE: All awards will be mailed to the winning participants during the week following the event.

 

CHIP TIMING

Chip timing will be used by all runners. Timing chips are personally assigned to each runner and will be included in the race packets. Timing chips are to be worn during the race (preferably on the shoe). Timing chip must be returned at the end of your race to avoid a $25.00 replacement fee. Return bins will be located immediately beyond each finish line.  Do NOT run through more than one finish line or your time will be invalid.
 

Important Race information
Lampson Cable Bridge Run:

The 38th Annual Lampson Cable Bridge Run will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016.  All three races will be started by Santa himself at 9:00 am sharp.  Registration for the Cable Bridge Run is from August 16 to December 14, 2016, with a last chance registration on December 16 from 12-7pm.  Don't forget to show up early at the Benton County Fairgrounds parking lot to catch the shuttle!

Please Note: • There will NOT be shuttles transporting participants back to the starting line after the race. • If you have someone picking you up at the finish (2300 East Crane St.), they need to arrive at the building no later than 8:15 am and will not be able to leave until the 5K/10K race course is clear (approx. 10:30 am).   
 
Lampson CBR Race Results will be posted as soon as they are uploaded on Saturday, December 17 after the race.

PACKET PICK-UP
Location

Neil F. Lampson Office Building, 607 E. Columbia Dr. in Kennewick. (Please be aware that this is the same location as the start of the race)

Pre Race Packet Pick-up

Friday, December 16 from 12-7 pm  (While you are there, check out some new products and upcoming events at the Lampson Cable Bridge Run Trade Show)

Race Day Packet Pick-up

Saturday, December 17 from 7-8:30 am

*Note: Race packets contain the race bib and timing chip specifically assigned to you.

PARKING AND SHUTTLES

*NOTE: THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE RACE START AREA! 

We are offering parking at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick (1500 S. Oak St., Kennewick, WA) and BenFranklin Transit busses will shuttle participants to the start of the race. Shuttles to the Starting Line begin at 7:00 am from Benton County Fairgrounds. The last shuttle leaves at 8:15 am.

Shuttles will transport the 1 Mile participants to the main 5K/10K finish line.

After the race at the 5K/10K finish line, shuttles will then return participants to the Benton County Fairgrounds. 

Shuttles back to the Benton County Fairgrounds from the 5K/10K finish will begin at 10:00am.  The last shuttle leaves at 11:30 am.

December 15 - Friday, December 16, 2016 - 7:00pm (a $5 late fee will be assessed) Online registrations only during last chance registration (Kiosks will be available at during Pre Race Packet Pick-up at the Neil F. Lampson Office Building, 607 E. Columbia Dr., Kennewick.  CREDIT CARDS ONLY!)
