Let Your Light Shine Bright Glow Run/Family Fun Stroll

To celebrate the upcoming total solar eclipse, the Pittsburg- Camp County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a special event, the  Let Your Light Shine Bright 5K Glow Run and Family Fun Stroll.

This unique event will take place on Saturday, April 6 at Fair Park.  The 5K run and one mile family fun stroll will begin just after sunset at 8:00 p.m.   Families and runners will enjoy a fun evening, filled with all things glow in the dark, including glow in the dark giveaways and "color zones" where participants will be sprayed with colored powder.  Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and the run/family fun stroll will begin at 8:00 p.m.  Join us beginning at 6:30 for our Pre-Glow Run party where we will have music and dancing, food, a photo booth and much more.  

Safety is one of our greatest concerns so don't forget to wear proper footwear, bring flashlights or wear your headlamps.  Please be aware that participants will be sprayed with colored powder.  Please wear clothing you don't mind getting "colored".  (Color will wash out!) We highly encourage you to bring a zip-lock for your personal items such as phone and car keys.  Please also bring a towel to cover your car seat and wet wipes to clean up a bit after the race.   Route will be on paved roads and well-marked with lights but please be aware of uneven ground.  Please no pets or strollers.  Young children may not enjoy this event.

Ready - Set - Glow!  Strap on as much glow bling as you can find and come light up the course with your friends and family! 

Participants who pre-register will receive a commemorative t-shirt, and solar glasses you can wear while watching the eclipse on Monday, April 8.
