Lolo's Run

Lori Barnes was a fixture in the Kentucky running community.  Especially the trail and ultra community.  Participating in races across the country she was also a co-founder of the Elizabethtown Backyard Classic.  On July 3rd, 2023 Lori passed away from Glioblastoma (a rare brain cancer).  A lover of the outdoors and nature she found peace on the trail.

Lolo's Run is an 8 mile run on the McDougal Lake Trail in Hodgenville, KY. According to her 8 miles was the perfect race distance. She especially loved local trail races with a community feel.  Let's all get together and have some fun as a community in honor of Lori.

 In addition Lori often talked about "bringing back the patch".  All participants in the race will receive an official Lolo's Run Patch.

100% of the proceeds of the race will go to the Lori Barnes Environmental Education Fund.
