"We're Lookin' For a Cure" in Historic Congressional Cemetery.

This this National Historic Landmark was founded in 1807 and many notable U.S. residents are interred here. 

Congressmen who passed away in office between 1833 and 1876 are represented by Benjamin Latrobe’s iconic cenotaphs. Congressional Cemetery is still an active burial ground, taking new interments. There are currently over 65,000 burials on 35 acres.

The cemetery is also a dog-walking park, with K-9 Corps membership fees helping to sustain the Cemetery.

Join A Cure in Sight on Sunday May 19th, 8AM-11AM for a unique walk or run through history.

We will be taking steps to find a cure for a rare eye cancer, ocular melanoma. Ocular Melanoma is estimated by the American Cancer Society to have roughly 3000 new cases each year nationwide. Bring your friends and family to the race day--all ages welcome to walk or run with us.
