Love For Thad

Desert View Family Counseling will hold its 3rd Annual Love for Thad 5k Walk/Run at Berg Park in Farmington, NM. Desert View Family Counseling goal is to bring awareness and prevention to suicide!

In November of 2014 Thaddeus "Thad" Hale died by suicide. Thad was 13 years old and was a student at Koogler middle School when he passed away. He had many friends and family who loved him deeply and miss him. It is Desert View's goal to help prevent this from happening to another family.  Currently, suicide is the number 2 cause of death for people aged 15-24. One in three people have lost a loved one to suicide. We know that by creating awareness, these efforts can help save lives in San Juan County! This walk is also to honor anyone who may have lost their life by suicide. Sponsorship is available if you feel compelled to be a sponsor for this event!
