We are pleased to host the Second Annual 5K road race as part of the Mount Washington Spring Festival. Race will begin on Park View Ave. and end at the brand new Mount Washington Sports complex. This road race is for all ages and skill levels. It’s open to runners and walkers. It will be stroller friendly as well. Awards – We will give out awards for the 5k: 15&U male and female, 16-30 Male and female, and 31 and over male and female. Awards will go three deep in each group with a pretty sweet trophy for the winners.
Kids Fun Run – this race will be approximately one-half mile long with the same exciting finish as the 5K. All kids will get a ribbon upon completion of the Fun Run.
Course description – The race course will start on Park View Ave. near Flat Lick Road, travel NE toward Landis Lane before taking a left and going to the end of Landis Lane. There will be a turn around before following Griffin Lane to Gardiner Way and turning around at the cul-de-sac. The course will then backtrack to Park View Ave. before entering the park near the start line on Parkview. The course then goes around the park on the walking path before an awesome finish near the amphitheater. It’s a flat and fast course.
Proceeds from this race will go to the East Running Club (Facebook – East Running Club) and the Bullitt East Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America.
Prices increase on March 8 and May 8. Be sure to sign up early. Race fee does not include any taxes or processing fees.
Registration will begin at 6:30am on race day at the Wesbanco Pavilion. T-shirts and medals (for those registered prior to May 1) will be handed out before the race as well.
All registrants (Prior to April 24) are guaranteed a race T-shirt as well as a custom race medal. (It is possible you will not receive your swag on race day. We promise you will receive it ASAP).
