AWARDS
Each participant will receive a New Ears Bray 5K medal.

There are 3 different race divisions:  burros with packs, burros without packs, and solo runners.  Prizes for top male and female in each division for in person race.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES
Participants in this race agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html and agree to abide by any COVID-19 distancing and other safety guidelines issued by the state, the community, or by this race for participation in this race.  Participants agree to follow COVID-19 guidelines including wearing a mask/face covering unless able to maintain 6 ft of social distance.

RULES FOR BURRO RACERS
Participant and burro starting the race must remain a connected team throughout the race (BURRO EXCHANGING NOT ALLOWED). If participant becomes separated from their burro (participant and burro are no longer racing as a connected team), the runner must link back up with the burro and return to the place they became separated before continuing the race. Failure to follow these rules will result in disqualification. The winning combination consists of the participant and burro team to cross the finish line. The participant may be leading or following the burro. The burro's nose crossing the finish line first constitutes the winner.  *Rules borrowed from the Western Pack Burro Ass-ociation

NOTE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS
This is not a beginners course for burros.  There is a tunnel obstacle and a few sections of the trail that require fancy footwork.  Elevation gain is 233 ft with max elevation at 4801 ft.  No dogs allowed for this 5K.
