New River Splash Triathlon, Duathlon & 5k

Get ready to dive into the excitement of the 6th Annual New River Splash Triathlon, Duathlon & 5k presented by Moore Buick GMC! Taking place in Jacksonville, NC, the race offers a thrilling experience in the heart of a military town, surrounded by Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River. Starting and finishing in downtown Jacksonville, participants will conquer the swim portion in the scenic New River, cycle through MCB Camp Lejeune, and sprint through the vibrant streets of downtown. Don't miss out on this incredible event, sanctioned by USA Triathlon. If you're not a member, no worries - simply select a one-day pass during registration and join the action!

We don't include t-shirts in the race registration. If you would like one, select it during the registration process. 

Is the water safe?
Yes the water is tested by the City of Jacksonville Stormwater Department. If for some reason it is unsafe, we will cancel the swim portion of the event. Please note that it is normal river with the potential to see different types of wildlife. 
Am I allowed to wear a wetsuit?
Wetsuits are only allowed if water temperature is below 78 degrees. We will be checking the water temperature the day before the race and will let everyone know. 
Are there finisher medals?
YES! Everyone receives a finisher medal who completes the race in person or virtually.
