Newport Cultural Center 5k /1 mile Fun Run & Half Marathon

The Newport Cultural Center 5K race/walk and 1 mile Fun Run will follow a gentle, shaded course through the neighborhoods near and along Lake Sebasticook in Newport. This is an out and back. Walkers are welcome to participate. The pre-registration fee is $20. Race day registration is $25. Children 12 and under can participate in the Fun Run for $5 each. Families can participate in the race/walk and/or Fun Run for $35 per family.

 Our half marathon witll be an out and back down Moosehead Trail and around Camp Benson Road twice then back to NCC. Pre-registration requred. Fee is $40.

Race day registration for the 5k and fun run only will take place from 8:30-9:00am out behind the Newport Cultural Center. The half marathon runners will begin first at 8:00am. Next we will hold the Fun Run at 8:30am and the 5K race at 9:00am. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest three participating in the Fun Run. There will also be prizes awarded to the fastest male and female participants in the 5k run. The winner of the half marathon will receive a cash prize of $250 sponsored by The Riverwalk Center. Post-race refreshments provided.
