Ohio MCC Run 4 Relief 1 K & 5 K Run

When was the last time you went fishing? Sitting on a lake or pond with a pole in your hands? Or driving to Lake Erie to join a fishing charter?  Fishing can be a great hobby or a time to catch up with friends and family. As well as being a fun time, fishing can also benefit families. In Cambodia, MCC is assisting families in building fishponds and restocking existing ponds. Fish are an excellent souce of proteins and amino acids that benefit our bodies. Fish is a low-fat high-quality protein, important for our muscular health. The proteins found in fish contain all the essential amino acids required to support our body's functions in the right proportion.
By building fishponds, MCC is assisting families with having fish to sell, having water to grow better gardens and improving families’ income opportunities. Come join us for an early morning run! The 2023 Run 4 Relief will benefit familes by helping them to stock their ponds. 
For the younger crowd and those of you who enjoy a shorter distance the 1K Fun Run is for you! This event will not be timed, and no awards will be given to those who finish first, middle or last. Everyone who participates in this event will receive a t-shirt.
Please remember to bring your water bottles. Let's reuse and recycle! Gatorade and water will be available at the run. 
The 1K and 5K Run will be held on the west side of the Mt. Hope Event Center on twp. Road 362 on Saturday, July 8th. Look for the tent. Registration starts an hour before the race. 
The 1K will start at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5K kicking off at 8:00 AM. Every participant will receive a t-shirt and the top 6 overall runners will receive an award. Age awards will also be given.
Sign up today on this site. All proceeds will be given to MCC to assist in purchasing fish to stock ponds for families. Registration fees will be paid by the participant.
