Paws for a Cause Virtual 5K

7th Annual Paws for a Cause 5K April 30th - 7:30 a.m

EVENT
LCMS is hosting their 7th annual 5K race to help support Childhood Diabetes research as well the sports program at LCMS.  We are proud to work in collaboration with local sponsors to present this exciting community event.  Immediately following the race there will be breakfast served on the LCMS campus.

TEE SHIRTS
Shirts are guaranteed for all participants registered by April 15th 

AWARDS
Finisher Medals for First 400 registered - The top male and female participants in each of the following categories will also receive a trophy: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over

RACE TIMING
All participants will be provided with a bib number number with an RFID chip attached to the back. Results will be posted online as participants cross the finish line.

When and where does the race take place?

How long is the course?
A 5K is 3.1 miles.

How will I be timed?
All participants will be provided with a bib number number with an RFID chip attached to the back. Results will be posted online as participants cross the finish line. 

When and where do I pick up my registration materials?
Registration materials will be digital.  Finisher medals and shirts can be picked up at LCMS on May April 29th - 4-6 pm.  Students can pick up any time after May 12th in Mrs. Capp's room (2-210). 

How will I receive my results?
Official results will be posted at race website. Participants will have the option to use scan a QR code at race site to see results

Who gets a T-shirt?
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment processes by May 1st are guaranteed a free race t-shirt. There will be shirts available after that date, but sizes and shirts are not guaranteed.

Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sure, this is a virtual race, so you can run anywhere!  

Can I participate with a stroller or Bike?
As long as you feel safe doing so. 

I am not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. We are unable to issue refunds. We are not able to credit your credit card or issue checks. Luckily, there is a 17-day window to complete your race. 

Will the race be held if it's raining?
This is a rain or shine event. 

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a strict NO TRANSFER policy.
