About the event

Join us for a PINK OCTOBER 1 Mile & 5K bRUNch! This event will help raise awareness for breast cancer, celebrate breast cancer survivors, and honor loved ones who have lost their battle with the disease.   Run, walk, skip, or dance your way through the finish line… we don’t care which you do, we just want you to join us to help raise awareness and have a delightful brunch afterwards!    Proceeds from this event will go towards Perkins County Health Services Lab Department to help purchase a Blood Culture Analyzer as well as raise funds for our Mammogram & Breast Health fund.

What is a Blood Culture Analyzer?  This device is designed to detect and identify tiny organisms like bacteria and fungi in a person's blood. These infections, known as bacteremia or septicemia , can be life-threatening if left undiagnosed or untreated.

Why is it important? The Blood Culture Analyzer gives our local lab department and providers to be able to quickly and accurately diagnose bloodstream infections, leading to faster and more effective treatments.   The Mammogram & Breast Health Fund This fund is available at Perkins County Health Services to help assist patients with the cost of diagnostic mammograms or breast ultrasounds. Assistance is available for those patients who do NOT have medical insurance coverage or have a high deductible.

Your compassionate support for breast cancer awareness and lifesaving medical technology will make a profound impact in the lives of those affected by this disease. Let's come together for an unforgettable event and create a lasting impact!
