POW/MIA Warrior 5K

The University of Delaware’s Air Force ROTC program holds an annual POW/MIA 24-Hour Vigil at the Veteran’s Memorial on Main Street in Newark, Delaware to honor those who were taken as prisoners of war and those declared missing in action while serving our country.  We hope to not only raise awareness for our prisoners of war and those missing in action, but we hope to honor and support their valiant struggle against the 24-hour hardship they face, wherever they may be.

Our goal is to increase the knowledge of its struggle and spread it throughout the community.  With this in mind, we will be holding our annual “Warrior 5K” on Friday, September 13th at 5pm to spread awareness of this unfortunate reality and to encourage the community to come out and support the cause.  With your participation, you are helping to pay tribute to those that are continuing their fight despite the situation they are in.  With your participation, you are helping to remember them.  

T-Shirts will be provided to all participating runners.
