Purple Community 5K

Van Andel Institute’s Purple Community, in partnership with Consumers Credit Union, presents the inaugural Purple Community 5K. This special event, held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Grand Rapids, MI, features a five kilometer walk/run along the Grand River, beginning and ending at beautiful Fifth Third Ballpark. In addition to the 5K, a one-mile fun run is planned for children and families. The event honors those who have fought, or are fighting cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. 100% of the proceeds from the event benefit biomedical research at Van Andel Institute with the goal to improve the health and enhance the lives of current and future generations.

February 1 - April 29: General Registration Period
April 28 | 5:00 p.m.: Online Registration Closes
April 29 | 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.: Onsite Registration & Packet Pick-up (Gazelle Sports - Grand Rapids)
April 30 | 6:30 - 7:45 a.m.: Late Registration & Packet Pick-up (Fifth Third Ballpark)
