Purple For Pop

Purple For Pop is a charity run/walk dedicated to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. No other organization fights for this cancer like PCAN. In their mission to save lives, they specialize in research, clinical initiatives, patient services and advocacy. Research funding impacts the fight against pancreatic cancer — and the majority of cancer research funding comes from the federal government. Urge Congress to fund more high-priority pancreatic cancer research. Because when you speak, Congress listens. You help patients and their families make informed treatment decisions as well as improve and inspire their cancer journey. Pancreatic cancer takes 91 percent of its victims within five years and kills more people than breast cancer in the United States. The disease is the third leading cause of cancer-related death, and it is projected to become the second around 2020. More than 56,770 Americans will be diagnosed with the disease this year.
