Trust for Public Land is creating the Long Island Greenway, a biking and pedestrian trail that will stretch nearly 200 miles from Manhattan to Montauk. You can Race for the Greenway to make it happen! The Long Island Greenway will provide a trail for walkers, bikers, hikers, and runners, passing through 27 communities. Help raise funds for this ambitious project by joining us on October 29. Presented by Long Island Wine Country, you’ll race your way through Hallock State Park and then sip your way through the region’s best vineyards at our after-party wine crawl. Special thanks to Long Island Wine Country, celebrating 50 years of exceptional wines by supporting the Long Island Greenway.  Experience a stunning off-road trail run through some of Long Island’s finest scenery. You’ll pass beaches, vineyards, hidden ponds, and tranquil forests on mostly flat terrain. All are welcome! Runners, walkers, and people of all abilities can join this event. No pets, strollers OK but note there are terrain differences throughout the course (loose gravel, grass) Participant shirts guaranteed if you register online by 10/18 at midnight!   AWARDS: *The top 3 winners in each age bracket over 21 will receive a bottle of wine. 21-30, 31-30. 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71+ *The top M/F overall (over 21+) will receive a special magnum bottle of Long Island Wine. • Additional age group award to top 3 M/F winners under 21. *After the race, all participants ages 21+ can show their race bib at participating vineyards for exclusive specials.     Sign up today and help us build the Long Island Greenway!    ENTRY FEES:
Kids Fun Run: $10.00 Kids Fun Run is open to children 12 and under. 

 

5K Trail Run:$40.00 (register online by 10/28 @ 5pm) Day-of Registration: $50.00   PARKING: RGNY has generously provided parking space for this event. Upon arrival to Hallock State Park, please follow directional signage to the parking area at this winery. RGNY is across the road from Hallock State Park. Carpooling is encouraged.

You may run your race anywhere you choose at your own convenience and post your results starting on October 29th. 
  STEPS IN THE VIRTUAL RUN / WALK:
STEP #1 - Register above for the Virtual Event! (During this process you will create an account) STEP #2 - Complete your run / walk
STEP #3 - To upload your results and photos: go to your RunSignUp account, go to your 
                  upcoming  races, and click on Submit Virtual Results.  
STEP #4 - Don't forget to print out your finisher's certificate after you submit your time by going
                 back to the results! **
