Purple Reign is HERE!!  Ever since the 1984 Movie of a similar name, the color purple (No, not that movie!) changed my life! 

Did you know that Purple is the traditional color of Kings & Queens?  Why? Because, the color was difficult to produce, and that made it expensive to wear purple clothes. Only Monarchs wore purple robes and some Rulers used purple ink to sign their proclamations. Roman emperors would often penalize subjects by death for wearing purple garments.  These days, some people are so "plum crazy" they have Purple clothes, Purple cars, Purple clocks, and even purple shoes!  For many people, "Purple isn't just a color; it's a lifestyle."
 
Join us for the 10th Annual Rattler Run & 5K, where will be celebrating Purple Reign and all things Purple!  So…whether you’re a Prince, Princess, King, or Queen; let’s go crazy, lace up our running shoes, and party like it’s 1999. Cruise over to San Marcos High School in your little red Corvette and get delirious with us on August 12, 2023@8AM. Whether it’s a sunny 70 degrees or purple rain, wear your raspberry beret to join us prior to the 5K Run for starfish and coffee breakfast, served with a kiss! This event is sponsored by the San Marcos High School AFJROTC Booster Club.

Packets and registration will be available on Race Day.
 
RACE DAY SCHEDULE
7:00 AM – Registration & Packet Pick Up Begins
8:00 AM - 5K Begins
 
RACE TIMING AND SCORING
The race will be professionally timed and scored by RaceTimerz, LLC.
 
The race will be timed using reusable, RFID shoe tags. Please wear your bib to the front, pinned at all four corners, visible, and unaltered. Results will be available at our Result Kiosk at the race and online at www.raceTimerz.com
 
AWARDS
5K participants may receive awards in the following categories:
Overall Male/Female
Masters Male/Female (40+)
Top Three Male/Female in each age group: 1-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
