Run 4 Peace

For years, Unity Center of Peace has shared their parking lot with many runners, hikers and bikers who access the trails in the Carolina North Forest including the “Pumpkin Loop.”  Run 4 Peace is designed to bring runners, neighbors, local families and Unity members together in a fun, healthy, active gathering to get better acquainted and to share in the beauty of the forest.  

 Event will begin with a timed 4k run, followed shortly after by a 1-mile walk for families and kids.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each runner’s category.  Games and activities for children will be taking place throughout the afternoon, a "silliest dance" contest and a raffle will held.  Food trucks will be on hand providing tasty meals, and hot cider will be available.
