Run for Hope 5k - Terre Haute

It is no secret that child abuse and neglect cases are on the rise. With limited resources, communities are unaware on what to do in this statewide crisis. Vigo County HOPE is a chartered council of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana. With Children’s Bureau, Inc. as our umbrella agency, our council has the ability to aid in increasing the resources for our community.

Vigo County HOPE is excited to announce its inaugural event, Run for HOPE. Run for HOPE is a 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run benefiting the council’s work on providing outreach and education on child abuse and neglect prevention strategies to the community.

This event will be held on April 29, 2018 at 2PM at Fairbanks Park and will benefit the council’s main initiative – Family Game Night. The Family Game Night initiative will provide free games to families of Vigo County as well as educational materials outlining ways families can spend quality time together – all contributing to lowering the numbers of child abuse and neglect in our community.
