Run for Hope - Waterville

Can you imagine traveling 6 Kilometers carrying 40 to 80 lbs of water weight just to have clean water for the day?

6 Kilometers is the average distance that someone in a developing country must travel to get something that is necessary for them to survive. Every. Day. You can imagine how hopeless it must feel when someone is sick or unable to make that long, tough journey. We want to give hope to people that desperately need access to clean water. 

The Run for Hope is a charity 6K race with all proceeds going towards the cost of digging a well for a community in Burkina Faso (West Africa) that would benefit from the hope that clean water brings. Since this is our inaugural year and the distance for this race is a little bit different from a normal race distance, we will not offer competitive timing this year (although we will consider it for the future). We would love to see families participate together and have fun AND since the date of the race falls on Star Wars Day, we will have prizes for best dressed, as well as some fun Star Wars themed surprises.
