About the event
The Santa Fe International Half-Marathon will dedicate its September 17th 5K to Doug McTernan, a beloved local coach, and accomplished runner, as a tribute to his extraordinary dedication, mentorship, and passion for the sport. In 2019, Coach Doug moved to New Mexico and started the Jamii Running Project, a non-profit running club. He wanted to contribute to his new community and encourage people of all abilities, ages, and cultures to run for the love of it and also provide the training needed to compete in all levels of road races.
Join us to challenge yourself from Ft. Marcy to Pueblo of Pojoaque on the beautiful Old Taos Highway.
Full of stunning scenery on a baby jogging stroller-friendly course. Enjoy music and entrainment every two miles.
The 5k and 1-mile beings and ends at Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino.
