The Rotary Club of Winter Springs presents out inaugural “School’s Out For Summer 5K Fun Run”. Our goal is to raise to funds to support our local youth and community programs, as well as assist many of our local young people in their educational pursuits through scholarships. Rotary is a volunteer organization and therefore, all net proceeds are used for the various programs we support. Most importantly, the majority of these funds stay in our local community!
The Rotary Club of Winter Springs is very involved in the community. We work with many local non-profit organizations, local schools and even international aid programs. Our fundraising and your generous support will allow us to continue this important work. We are proud of our accomplishments, and you can be proud too knowing you are contributing directly to your local community through this endeavor. This inaugural race will be on Saturday, June 9 at Central Winds Park in Winter Springs.

Shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered participants. Shirts not guaranteed to registrations entered on race day.
When and where does the race take place?
Saturday, June 9th 2018. Race start time is promptly 9:00 a.m.
How long is the course?
The 5K is 3.1 miles.
How will I be timed?
This is a fun run and there will not be chip timing.
When and where do I pick up my registration materials?
Registration starts at 8:000 a.m. for all participants at race site. Packets will be available at check in.
Who gets a T-shirt?
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment processes before the race date are guaranteed a free race t-shirt.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.
Can I participate with a stroller or Bike?
For safety reasons no bicycles, in-line skates, or skateboards. Strollers are permitted.
What do I do with my personal items while I’m running?
Please leave them in your car.
Should I bring my own water?
Yes, but there will be water stations on the course and near the finish line.
I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. As the race brochure states, we are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks.
Will the race be held if it’s raining?
The race is a “rain or shine” event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.
