About the event

The Annual Steve Olsen Run for Rogosin, was founded by Steve Olsen, owner of the West Bank Cafe in the heart of New York City's theater district. Steve is a kidney transplant recipient and a former Rogosin patient. His and his friends' personal commitment to our cause make this an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind event.

The Steve Olsen Run for Rogosin has become a great way to inform people about prevention and risk factors for kidney disease and to increase awareness about kidney health and organ donation. Funds raised through this event will help Rogosin pursue critical research, treatment, and prevention efforts for thousands of people with kidney disease and the millions at risk for it due to diabetes and hypertension.

ABOUT THE ROGOSIN INSTITUTE:
The Rogosin Institute was established in New York City in 1983 as an independent, not-for-profit institution for research, treatment, and prevention of kidney disease.  Rogosins history can be traced back to 1955 when the first Cardiorenal Laboratory at Bellevue Hospital in New York City was created and became the predecessor for ensuing kidney programs.

Rogosin is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College and is a member of the NewYork Presbyterian Regional Hospital Network.  Most of our physicians have appointments in NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical College.
