Summerfest Run - Dallas, OR - 5K / 10K / Kid's Fun Run

AWARDS:
Top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K receive a hand-made, fused-glass art medallion. Best costume for the Summerfest theme (Hawaiian Luau) will receive a prize.

RESTRICTION:
No roller blades/skates, skateboards, dogs or unregistered participants. Baby jogger/strollers are allowed. Walking participants welcome.

REGISTRATION:
Online registration closes at 6:00pm Friday, July 29th

Race day registration is available starting at 7:00am in the Dallas Radio Shack parking lot with the event registration closing 15 minutes before the start of that race.

PROCEEDS:
All proceeds will benefit Dallas High School athletic programs through the DHS Booster Club.

5K
The 5K course starts on Jefferson Street at Radio Shack and goes through downtown Dallas and along part of Dallas’ creek trail system finishing on Main Street along the parade route, ending in front of the Polk County courthouse lawn. The out-and-back route is mostly flat and all paved. Like life on the islands, timing for this run is pretty laid back. A race clock will be visible at the finish line but individual times will not be provided.

Kid's Fun Run
If you plan to bring kids (and it's a summer festival so you totally should if you have them), there is a paid ($10) kid's fun run that follows the parade route. This 2/3 mile run kicks off the Summerfest Parade, which will follow with food and craft vendors on the courthouse lawn, live music, among other Summerfest activities. All ages are welcome to run!

$10 for Fun Run, $20 for 5K
