About the event
In honor of Earth Day, connect with others and promote the importance of taking care of our planet by participating in a 5K. Join us for the Team Sierra Earth Day 5K on Saturday, May 4, 2019. There is also a 2 mile option for anyone who would like to walk. The race will be held at Hoover Ridge Park in beautiful scenic Madison, VA, and will begin at 8:00 am. Come join friends and other good Samaritans as we enjoy nature and raise awareness for this important cause. The proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit the Sierra Club, an environmental organization dedicated to explore, enjoy and protect our planet. All you have to do is run and you will be helping the Earth! All participants registered by April 22 will receive a race t-shirt. Top runners will also receive medals. Runners of all ages are welcome ~ kids through adults. Let's raise money for our planet!
